Profile.

I have over 9 years’ experience of proofreading and copy-editing a wide range of general and scientific literature including books, papers, journals and websites. After gaining my BSc (Hons) in Applied Biology and PhD in Microbiology at Cardiff University, I moved to Edinburgh to take up a postdoctoral position at the International Centre for Brewing and Distilling (ICBD) within Heriot-Watt University. As a result I have published many peer-reviewed papers, presented findings at national and international conferences and overseen BSc, MSc and PhD projects and dissertations.

A subsequent move into the field of quality assurance led to nearly 10 years’ experience of writing and reviewing documents/reports within the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industry. My background also includes auditing European field reports and trials/contractors whilst within the agrochemical industry and being a lead auditor within the pharmaceutical industry.
